Therapist | Creative Soul | Connector of Dots

Hi, I’m Maya – and I believe healing begins when we feel seen, safe, and deeply understood. I work with individuals and couples navigating life’s messier chapters: relationships in flux, identity exploration, emotional wounds, and trauma that still echoes.

In sessions, I bring a trauma-informed, affirming lens—grounded in my work as an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist and Behavioral Health Support Specialist focused on LGBTQ+ communities. I integrate evidence-based practices like EMDR, the Gottman Method, and Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy (EFCT), and when words fall short, I turn to creative tools rooted in my training as a certified Social Emotional Arts Facilitator.

Things you should know about working with me:

  • I honor the intersections of identity, family, and culture in your healing journey
  • I specialize in supporting women, LGBTQ+ clients, and couples in transition
  • I offer creative and somatic tools to help you access deeper emotional clarity
  • I believe growth isn’t about perfection—it’s about connection

I’m also currently completing my doctorate in Mental Health Leadership at USC, where my work centers cultural humility, intersectionality, and systems change.

Outside the therapy room:

You might find me dancing to Afrobeats, curating wellness events, or creating space for joy and reflection through art and movement.

Let’s begin. Healing is hard—but you don’t have to do it alone.
